Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A figure on a camel in the desert by Paul Pascal was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 70.50 (€ 115.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Pascal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Oasis At Night in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,691.12).
