Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sails by Paul Mount was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,523.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Mount have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rhapsody in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 78,098.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sails von Paul Mount wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.523,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Mount auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rhapsody im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 78.098,46).
