Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Put out More Flags by Paul Mount was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,640.96). Admittedly, works by Paul Mount have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rhapsody in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 78,098.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Put out More Flags von Paul Mount im März 2015 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.640,96) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Mount auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rhapsody im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 78.098,46).
