This artwork by Paul Manship achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2017. In the American Art auction, the work Dancer and Gazelles sold for USD 967,500.00 (€ 861,071.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Manship; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Indian Hunter And His Dog sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,135,786.34).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Manship erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Dancer and Gazelles für USD 967.500,00 (€ 861.071,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Manship; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Indian Hunter And His Dog im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.135.786,34).
