Despite a disappointment, a good price for Paul Lucien Dessau
When the work Self-Portrait by Paul Lucien Dessau was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,793.59). Despite this disappointing result, Self-Portrait is the most expensive artwork by Paul Lucien Dessau that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Paul Lucien Dessau
Als die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Paul Lucien Dessau im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.793,59) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Self-Portrait das teuerste Kunstwerk von Paul Lucien Dessau, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
