Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Illustrations for Humpty Dumpty's Wink by Paul Lucien Dessau was sold in the Out of The Ordinary auction at Christies in London in September 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,445.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lucien Dessau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,793.59).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Illustrations for Humpty Dumpty's Wink von Paul Lucien Dessau wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion Out of The Ordinary bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.445,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
