A top price for Paul Chardin - as previously expected
In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Caricature Of Giuseppe Verdi by Paul Chardin. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,790.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Caricature Of Giuseppe Verdi is the most expensive artwork by Paul Chardin that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Caricature Of Giuseppe Verdi von Paul Chardin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.790,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Caricature Of Giuseppe Verdi das teuerste Kunstwerk von Paul Chardin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
