In October 2003 Christies in Beverly Hills held the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN & AMERICAN PAINTINGS, which included the work After the Bath by Paul Lewis Clemens. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,170.00 (€ 6,176.24), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Lewis Clemens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tuesday's Child, which sold at auction in October 2003 for USD 20,912.50 (€ 18,014.04).

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in Beverly Hills die Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN & AMERICAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit After the Bath von Paul Lewis Clemens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.170,00 (€ 6.176,24) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Lewis Clemens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tuesday's Child beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für USD 20.912,50 (€ 18.014,04) versteigert wurde.
