This work without title by Paul Kelpe was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2013. It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,792.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Kelpe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition #518, which sold at auction in April 2017 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 55,071.13).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paul Kelpe wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.792,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Kelpe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition #518 beobachtet, die im April 2017 für USD 60.000,00 (€ 55.071,13) versteigert wurde.
