This artwork by Paul Joanovitch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2020. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work The Resting Sentinel sold for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 158,172.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Joanovitch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Serbianbashi-Bazouks Before A Gateway, which sold at auction in April 2018 for GBP 465,000.00 (€ 529,585.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Joanovitch erzielte im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit The Resting Sentinel für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 158.172,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Joanovitch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Serbianbashi-Bazouks Before A Gateway beobachtet, die im April 2018 für GBP 465.000,00 (€ 529.585,47) versteigert wurde.
