This artwork by Paul Joanovitch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction, the work Serbian A Serbian Warrior sold for GBP 66,050.00 (€ 79,859.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Joanovitch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Serbianbashi-Bazouks Before A Gateway in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 465,000.00 (€ 529,585.47).

In der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting wurde die Arbeit Serbian A Serbian Warrior für GBP 66.050,00 (€ 79.859,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Joanovitch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Serbianbashi-Bazouks Before A Gateway im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 465.000,00 (€ 529.585,47).
