The work Sans titre, circa 1980 by Paul Jenkins was sold in the Prints & Multiples Online auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 960.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Jenkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Phenomena Arroyo Sounding in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 81,790.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sans titre, circa 1980 von Paul Jenkins wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 960,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Jenkins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Phenomena Arroyo Sounding im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 81.790,99).
