Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Jatiluwih Landscape by Paul Husner was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,400.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Husner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sanur And Beyond: Nature And Religion At Blanjong Temple II, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,591.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Jatiluwih Landscape von Paul Husner im Mai 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.400,13) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Husner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sanur And Beyond: Nature And Religion At Blanjong Temple II beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.591,94) versteigert wurde.
