Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work View Of Chaville by Paul Huet for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,385.16). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Huet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marais Salants Aux Environs De Saint-Valèry En Somme, Picardie in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 70,318.54).
