Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Huet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2016. In the Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work A villa near Rome sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,507.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Huet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marais Salants Aux Environs De Saint-Valèry En Somme, Picardie in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 70,318.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Huet erzielte im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit A villa near Rome für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.507,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Huet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marais Salants Aux Environs De Saint-Valèry En Somme, Picardie im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 70.318,54).
