Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Burlin could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,674.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Burlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Signs I in May this year with an auction result of USD 40,695.00 (€ 38,196.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Burlin konnte im Februar 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.674,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Burlin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Signs I im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.695,00 (€ 38.196,92).
