Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Corsham Court, Wiltshire by Paul Ayshford Methuen. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 706.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Ayshford Methuen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining nude in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corsham Court, Wiltshire von Paul Ayshford Methuen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 706,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Ayshford Methuen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining nude im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
