In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection, which included the work Diamond 9ft Cane (Ackee) by Paul Anthony Smith. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,731.05), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Anthony Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 16,380.00 (€ 16,743.33).

Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diamond 9ft Cane (Ackee) von Paul Anthony Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.731,05) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Anthony Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 16.380,00 (€ 16.743,33) versteigert wurde.
