Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,282.90), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Patrick Swift have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Olive Tree in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Gnarled Olive Tree von Patrick Swift wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.282,90) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Swift auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Olive Tree im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
