Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cupid in a garden by Patrick Swift was sold in the The Irish Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 5,827.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Swift achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olive Tree in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cupid in a garden von Patrick Swift wurde im Mai 2003 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.182,50 (€ 5.827,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Swift erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olive Tree im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
