Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Irish Art, which included the work Algarve Landscape by Patrick Swift. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,463.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Swift have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Olive Tree in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Algarve Landscape von Patrick Swift zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.463,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Swift auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Olive Tree im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
