Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Large Skater Bear by Patrick O'Reilly was sold in the Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,557.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick O'Reilly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life Goes On in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,229.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Large Skater Bear von Patrick O'Reilly wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.557,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick O'Reilly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life Goes On im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.229,16).
