Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick O'Reilly could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Irish Sale auction, the work Dew changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,180.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick O'Reilly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life Goes On in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,229.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick O'Reilly konnte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Irish Sale wechselte die Arbeit Dew für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.180,11) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick O'Reilly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life Goes On im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.229,16).
