Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Irish Art, which included the work Bull by Patrick O'Reilly. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,136.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Patrick O'Reilly have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2017 the work Life Goes On was auctioned for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,229.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bull von Patrick O'Reilly zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.136,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Patrick O'Reilly konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2017 die Arbeit Life Goes On für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.229,16) versteigert.
