In September 2010 Christies in London held the auction Exploration and Travel including the Polar Sale, which included the work British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-13: Keohane's chart of the Southern Journey, 1911-12 by Patrick Keohane. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,734.70), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Keohane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-13: Keohane's sledging flag, sewn and embroidered by him in the hut at Cape Evans, and carried by him on the expedition, which sold at auction in September 2010 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,698.18).
