Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Patrick Dolan was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,885.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Dolan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Seascape, St. Ives), which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,206.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Patrick Dolan wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.885,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Dolan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Seascape, St. Ives) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.206,35) versteigert wurde.
