Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work The Mirror of the Spirits by Pat Andrea. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,929.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pat Andrea - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tajine, (Diptyque), 1990, which sold at auction in December 2012 for EUR 21,880.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Mirror of the Spirits von Pat Andrea zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.929,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pat Andrea mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tajine, (Diptyque), 1990 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für EUR 21.880,00 versteigert wurde.
