Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art, which included the work Mystic City by Paresh Maity. The price achieved of USD 51,000.00 (€ 37,196.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 45,000.00 – 55,000.00. Other works by Paresh Maity have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2015 the work Morning was auctioned for USD 62,500.00 (€ 58,188.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mystic City von Paresh Maity zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 51.000,00 (€ 37.196,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 45.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Paresh Maity konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2015 die Arbeit Morning für USD 62.500,00 (€ 58.188,25) versteigert.
