In March 2006 Sothebys in New York held the auction Indian & Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Dusk by Paresh Maity. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,713.73), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paresh Maity - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 58,188.25).

Im März 2006 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Indian & Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dusk von Paresh Maity zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.713,73) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paresh Maity mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 58.188,25) versteigert wurde.
