This artwork by Paresh Maity achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Dawn sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paresh Maity; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Morning sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 58,188.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paresh Maity erzielte im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Dawn für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.585,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paresh Maity; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Morning im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 58.188,25).
