Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Hortense De Beauharnais, Queen Of Holland (1783-1837), Circa 1810 by Paolo Ferdinando Quaglia was sold in the Part I auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 4,750 (€ 5,292) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 4,000 - 6,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paolo Ferdinando Quaglia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 212,500 (€ 238,259).
