The work The Power of Civilization by Pang Jiun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 119,671.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Admittedly, works by Pang Jiun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monet’S Garden in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Power of Civilization von Pang Jiun kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 119.671,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pang Jiun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monet’S Garden im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
