Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work The Footprints of Bai Juyi (Su Zhou Moon Bay Village) by Pang Jiun was worth HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 206,996.70) to a buyer in November this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pang Jiun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monet’S Garden, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).

Die Arbeit The Footprints of Bai Juyi (Su Zhou Moon Bay Village) von Pang Jiun war einem Käufer im November diesen Jahres HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 206.996,70) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Pang Jiun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monet’S Garden beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41) versteigert wurde.
