Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunshine After Snow by Pang Jiun was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 380,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 403,200.00 (€ 48,327.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pang Jiun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monet’S Garden in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunshine After Snow von Pang Jiun wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 380.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 48.327,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pang Jiun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monet’S Garden im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
