In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work A family of boat dwellers by Pang Jiun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 630,000.00 (€ 74,794.52), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pang Jiun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monet’S Garden in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A family of boat dwellers von Pang Jiun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 74.794,52) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pang Jiun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monet’S Garden im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
