Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Conversation by Pan Wenxun. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,463.01). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pan Wenxun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manjusri, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 402,500.00 (€ 37,435.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Conversation von Pan Wenxun zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 113.400,00 (€ 13.463,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pan Wenxun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Manjusri beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 402.500,00 (€ 37.435,11) versteigert wurde.
