Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mist and Clouds over Xiaoxiang River by Pan Gongkai was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,273.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pan Gongkai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Midsummer Night's Dream in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,725,000.00 (€ 177,593.77).
