In March 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Platform at Concarneau Finistère by Palmer Cole Hayden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,938.05), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Palmer Cole Hayden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yacht Clubs, New Rochelle, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).

Im März 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Platform at Concarneau Finistère von Palmer Cole Hayden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.938,05) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Palmer Cole Hayden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yacht Clubs, New Rochelle beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48) versteigert wurde.
