Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Australian and South African Art, which included the work Police Rock Hole (2002) by Paddy Bedford. The result of GBP 20,000 (€ 21,006) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000 - 30,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paddy Bedford - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in November 2007 for AUD 120,000 (€ 72,288).
