Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu and Selected Silver, which included the work Unknown by Ozias Humphry. The price achieved of GBP 192.00 (€ 285.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150.00 – 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ozias Humphry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sahibzada (C. 1782 - C. 1817), In Orange And White Robe, Wearing A Blue Nawabi Turban, Seated Cross-Legged On A Gold Striped Purple Cushion; Column Background in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 67,689.35).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu and Selected Silver durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Ozias Humphry zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 192,00 (€ 285,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150,00 – 250,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ozias Humphry erzielen.
