Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Haidar Beg Khan by Ozias Humphry was sold in the Important Miniatures from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,545.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ozias Humphry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sahibzada (C. 1782 - C. 1817), In Orange And White Robe, Wearing A Blue Nawabi Turban, Seated Cross-Legged On A Gold Striped Purple Cushion; Column Background in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 67,689.35).
