Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Sir George Yonge, 5Th Bt. (1731-1812) by Ozias Humphry was sold in the Old Masters Online auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,121.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ozias Humphry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sahibzada (C. 1782 - C. 1817), In Orange And White Robe, Wearing A Blue Nawabi Turban, Seated Cross-Legged On A Gold Striped Purple Cushion; Column Background in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 67,689.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Sir George Yonge, 5Th Bt.
