Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,807.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Owen Bowen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hyde Park Corner in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 11,228.32).

Die Arbeit A Vase Of Mixed Flowers von Owen Bowen kam im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.807,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Owen Bowen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hyde Park Corner im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.170,00 (€ 11.228,32).
