This artwork by Owen Bowen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2006. In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work Harvesting, Vale of Mowbray; and Cattle watering sold for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,918.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Owen Bowen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hyde Park Corner, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 7,170.00 (€ 11,228.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Owen Bowen erzielte im Dezember 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Harvesting, Vale of Mowbray; and Cattle watering für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.918,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Owen Bowen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hyde Park Corner beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für GBP 7.170,00 (€ 11.228,32) versteigert wurde.
