Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ouyang Chun could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Unknown Painter No. 3 changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,291.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ouyang Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gold Crown and Silver Crown in October this year with an auction result of HKD 6,600,000.00 (€ 798,145.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ouyang Chun konnte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wechselte die Arbeit Unknown Painter No. 3 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.291,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ouyang Chun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gold Crown and Silver Crown im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.600.000,00 (€ 798.145,34).
