In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art, which included the work Two Birds on Branch by Ou Haonian. The auction ended at the price of HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,191.27), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ou Haonian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird On A Branch in April this year with an auction result of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Birds on Branch von Ou Haonian zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.191,27) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ou Haonian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird On A Branch im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22).
