A top price for Ou Haonian
When the work Bird On A Branch by Ou Haonian was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 12,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22). This high result makes Bird On A Branch the most expensive artwork by Ou Haonian that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Bird On A Branch von Ou Haonian im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 12.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Bird On A Branch zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Ou Haonian, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
