Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Christies in New York held the auction Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Huaisu Writing on Plantain Leaf by Ou Haonian. The price achieved of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 4,150.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ou Haonian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird On A Branch in April this year with an auction result of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Huaisu Writing on Plantain Leaf von Ou Haonian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 4.150,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ou Haonian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird On A Branch im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22).
