In February 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Peony / Orchid by Ou Haonian. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,329.53), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ou Haonian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bird On A Branch in April this year with an auction result of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peony / Orchid von Ou Haonian zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.329,53) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ou Haonian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bird On A Branch im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22).
