This artwork by Ou Haonian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Amiayus Buddha sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,777.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ou Haonian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bird On A Branch, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ou Haonian erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Amiayus Buddha für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.777,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ou Haonian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bird On A Branch beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22) versteigert wurde.
